NEBOSH Management of Fire Certificate

Course Overview:

The NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety & Risk Management aims to build on the success of the National General Certificate. The Fire Certificate has been designed for Managers, Supervisors, Employee Representatives and those embarking on a role with Fire Safety responsibility and aims to equip holders to contribute to the conduct and review of fire risk assessments and fire preventative and protective measures within most workplaces.

Course Content:

The syllabus is divided into 3 units as follows:

  • NGC1: The Management of Health & Safety

  • FC1: Fire Safety & Risk Management

  • FC2: Fire Safety & Risk Management Practical Exam

    The contents of these 2 units are as follows:

    NGC1:

  • Foundations in Health & Safety

  • Health and Safety Management Systems – Plan

  • Health and Safety Management Systems – Do

  • Health and Safety Management Systems – Check

  • Heath and Safety Management Systems – Act

    FC1:

  • Managing Fire Safety

  • Principals of Fire & Explosion

  • Causes & Prevention of Fire

  • Fire Protection in Buildings

  • Safety of People in the Event of a Fire

  • Fire Risk Assessment

Duration:

NGC1, FC1 & FC2 - Eleven Days Training and Two Exams

FC1 & FC2 Bolt on - Six Days if you have already completed the NGC1 paper in the past 5 years
