Overview: City and Guilds certified - Operatives and Supervisors. It is a legal requirement to hold and carry your SWQR card. Re-Assessment for the New Roads and Street Works qualification came into place in April 2011. This applies to all candidates (operatives and supervisors) that hold the qualification who live and work in England. Delegate’s can sit the re-assessment exams either 6 months before or 6 months after the renewal date (please note that delegates will not be covered for the 6 months after the renewal date). If the delegate’s card expires beyond 6 months, they will not be able to sit the re-assessment exams and will have to re-sit the whole course. There is no appeals process if delegates do not renew there card. If the delegate cannot pass the exams they may re-sit the course instead.
Programme: WS Training is offering a 1 day refresher training course followed by 1 day for the exams
Exams Each unit has an exam paper. Each exam is multiple choice and the time for each exam is 30 minutes. Delegates are able to take their books into the exam (as long as they are current and haven’t been written in) All exams can only be conducted in English; use of a scriber or a reader is permitted for delegates who have reading/writing issues. No interpreters are permitted
