Traineeships at WS Training

Study Programme for young people aged 16-19

Traineeships are an opportunity to gain real work experience, job skills and improve your English and Maths if needed. The programme can last up to a maximum of six months with the content tailored to your individual career needs.

The course helps you get ready for an apprenticeship or job if you don’t have the appropriate skills or experience. Traineeships give you the skills and experience that employers are looking for, helping you to boost your careers prospects with an apprenticeship or other employment in the future.

WS Training will support you with: Training to prepare you for work including CV writing, interview skills and what to expect in the workplace Improve your English and Maths if you need it Securing a meaningful work placement

The employer will: Provide a high-quality work placement of at least 100 hours Provide an interview for an apprenticeship or job if available, or an exit interview with written feedback. A traineeship isn’t a job and employers are not required to pay you for the work placement, however, you may get expenses for transport and meals from your employer and financial support from WS Training through the bursary scheme, if eligible.   Opportunity to build your CV Work with local and national Employers       Work preparation training ready for Employment or an Apprenticeship Maths and English support        Potential job interview at the end of your placement or an exit interview with meaningful written feedback to help you secure other employment
