Course Overview:

The NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety & Health has been recognised for many years as the basis for a sound, broad introduction to the fundamentals of occupational health and safety for those working in the construction industry.

Course Content:

The syllabus is divided into 3 units as follows:

  • NGC1: The Management of Health & Safety

  • NCC1: Controlling Workplace Hazards

  • NCC2: Health and Safety Practical Application

    The contents of these 2 units are as follows:

NGC1:

  • Foundations in Health & Safety

  • Health and Safety Management Systems – Plan

  • Health and Safety Management Systems – Do

  • Health and Safety Management Systems – Check

  • Heath and Safety Management Systems – Act

    NCC1:

  • Construction Law and Management

  • Construction Site Hazards and Controls

  • Vehicle and Plant Movement Hazards and Control

  • Musculoskeletal Hazards and Controls

  • Work Equipment Hazards and Risk Control

  • Electrical Safety

  • Fire Safety

  • Chemical and Biological Health Hazards and Risk Control

  • Physical and Psychological Health Hazards and Risk Control

  • Working at Heights Hazards and Risk Control

  • Excavation Work and Confined Spaces Hazards and Risk Control

  • Demolition and Deconstruction Hazards and Risk Control

Duration:

Eighteen days’ Training which includes two Exam days.

Eleven days’ Training (including one Exam day) if you have already completed the NGC1 paper in the past 5 years.
