Job Description

WS Training Ltd is a Quality Provider of Vocational and Commercial Training Programmes. Our work based learning department has a vacancy for a Part-time Tutor (Health & Social Care/Management Level 5) to join our busy team. Responsibilities include supporting a cohort of learners through their apprenticeships by visiting workplaces to teach and assess them with their qualifications. Primarily this role will cover training and assessing of apprenticeships in Health & Social Care /Management however the ideal candidate would also be able to assess in additional vocational areas dependent on their previous experience.

Education/Qualifications Desired

  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or equivalent
  • Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance Qualification
  • Teaching Qualification at level 3 (PTLLS or Certificate in Education and Training)
  • Minimum of Level 2 Functional Skills or equivalent in English, Mathematics and ICT
  • Level 5 Management Qualification or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • The delivery and development of apprenticeship learners providing clear direction and information, enabling them to fulfill their role ensuring individual set targets are met
  • Designing a variety of soft and hard skill courses to meet the needs of the target groups.
  • Responsible for regularly reviewing and amending of training material in line with OFSTED and Awarding Organisation requirements
  • To ensure adherence to Health & Safety (including Safe Learner concept), Code of Conduct policies, Equality and Diversity and that all learners are given fair access to opportunities.
  • To actively promote and support an empowered open success culture.
  • Communication at all levels to be open and honest and a clear two- way channel.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS check required (carried out on recruitment)
